Please submit your nominee for the Florida Rangers Inc Board of Directors. The nominating committee will review the submission and contact the nominee for further instructions.

Nominations for 2026 are open February 17th and close March 17th. On or before April 4th the board will publish those nominations on this website for an election held April 11th at the Royal Rangers District Pow Wow.

Who may nominate?

Any Royal Rangers outpost who attends the district Pow Wow and resides in Pen Florida may make a board of directors nomination. The outpost may designate the person to do the nominating in any way they see fit.

Additionaly this delegate will be able to vote at the board of directors meeting held during Pow Wow for this or any other nominee.

Nominee responsiblities and requirements:

To remain eligible for consideration, each nominee must:

1. Affirmatively confirm acceptance of the nomination within the timeframe specified by the Board;

2. Consent to serve if elected;

3. Complete any required background check in accordance with Corporation policy; and

4. Provide a nominee biography and any other requested information by the deadlines established by the Board.

Failure to satisfy any nominee responsibility shall result in disqualification from further consideration.

The Nominating Committee may consider objective factors including, but not limited to:

• The nominee’s ability to commit the time and effort required for Board service;
  
  

• Relevant leadership, professional, or organizational experience;
  
  

• Representation of diverse geographic areas, programs, or constituencies served by the Corporation;
  
  

• Skills or expertise needed to support the effective governance of the Corporation; and
  
  

• Overall balance and continuity of the Board.

The Board shall not exclude any nominee who meets all qualification requirements for arbitrary, personal, or improper reasons.

The Board shall apply the same general considerations to all nominees and shall document its selection decision in the minutes.

Director Qualifications:

Directors must be individuals at least eighteen (18) years of age and legally eligible to serve as directors under applicable law. Directors shall acknowledge their fiduciary duties of care, loyalty, and obedience to the Corporation. Directors shall disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interests at any time they are applicable. Directors must remain in good standing with the Corporation and not be subject to disciplinary action that would impair their ability to serve.  Directors are expected to attend a majority of Board meetings during each term. Directors shall be reasonably prepared for meetings and participate in deliberations and decision-making.

As a condition of election or appointment, and as a condition of continued service, directors may be required to successfully complete a background check in accordance with applicable law and the policies of the Corporation. The scope, frequency, and method of any such background check shall be determined by the Board of Directors. Refusal to consent to a required background check, or failure to successfully complete such a background check, may constitute grounds for ineligibility, removal, or other action as determined by the Board.

All background check results shall be handled confidentially and used solely for eligibility and governance purposes.
